Abstract. Most traditional voucher systems are primarily designed to serve short-term transactional purposes, resulting in nearly unlimited reproducibility, low ownership value, and almost no long-term historical preservation after being redeemed. Most vouchers lose their meaning immediately after use and rarely retain cultural or collectible value over time.
TheGIS proposes a physical voucher artifact system built upon scarcity, identity recognition, community participation, and long-term archival value. Each note simultaneously functions as a redemption instrument within the TheGIS ecosystem and as a collectible artifact connected to specific stages of development, events, collections, and individuals who accompany the community.
The system applies a fixed annual issuance model with a maximum total supply of 666 notes per year across all denominations, classifications, collaborations, and event releases. Each note contains a unique serial code and belongs to a specific classification, forming a system that records participation and ownership over time.
Unlike conventional commercial vouchers, TheGIS Voucher is not designed purely as a transactional instrument, but as a physical milestone associated with movement culture, training, competition, personal growth, and community history. The system is built on the assumption that objects connected to meaningful experiences naturally accumulate value beyond their original redemption value.
TheGIS Voucher is not created to function as a decentralized currency or financial instrument. Instead, the system operates as a limited artifact model intended to preserve historical continuity and cultural identity within the TheGIS ecosystem.
